GUIDING SOULS TOWARDS GOD
Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj’s only aim, mission and desire was to inspire and guide souls to turn towards God and progress on the path of God realisation.
Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj’s life journey of 91 years exemplifies full dedication to the propagation of bhaktiyog (the path of devotion) as the only means for souls to attain their eternal goal of God realisation.
Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj revealed that true sadhana is to shed tears of longing for the divine vision and divine love of Shri Radha Krishna. It is to sing the glories of Their names, qualities, pastimes, abodes and associates (sankirtan) along with Their roopdhyan, the visualisation of the divine forms of Shri Radha Krishna.
He emphasised that sankirtan is the easiest and only means of devotion in kaliyug. He also revealed the importance of naam sankirtan (chanting the names of God).
Whether it was by leading naam sankirtan immersed in divine bliss himself, or through several discourses and sadhana programmes, he continuously reiterated that sankirtan is an integral part of practical devotion.
The 1940s and 1950s were a very special and defining period for the sankirtan movement. During these two decades, Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj would lead kirtans (divine chantings) imbued with intense devotion, which would continue non-stop throughout the night, and sometimes, for days, weeks and even months.
Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj revealed thousands of verses of devotional chantings explaining the form, virtues, names, leelas and abodes of Radha Krishna, and in particular, he revealed the supremacy of Shri Radha as the absolute supreme form of the divine existence. In particular, he introduced the chanting of Shri Radha’s name as a powerful tool for purification of the mind.
Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj revealed an immense amount of literature throughout his life. He composed tens of thousands of kirtans that evoke extreme devotional sentiments within the heart. He also composed 1008 poetic devotional songs (“pads”) in only nine days.
These 1008 pads are collectively known as the scripture, ‘Prem Ras Madira’. This scripture has been highly praised by the well-known poets of India, and these unparalleled sankirtans have touched hearts of those desiring love for Radha Krishna.
His literary works consist of various books, as well as recordings in audio and video on theoretical knowledge and the practical aspects of bhakti.
Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj also gifted three unique temples to the world: Bhakti Mandir (Shri Kripalu Dham Mangarh), Prem Mandir (Shri Vrindavan Dham) and Kirti Mandir (Shri Barsana Dham), which play a very significant role in inspiring spiritual seekers to progress on the path of bhakti.
Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj personally selected and trained preachers to spread his teachings across India and abroad. As his ordained representatives, his preachers conduct various satsangs and bhakti meditation camps in India and across the world in countries such as the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Singapore, and Hong Kong.
Throughout his life, Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj delivered countless public discourses and gave satsangs in numerous cities in India including Odisha, Haryana, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Assam, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Uttarakhand, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Goa.

He won the hearts and souls of hundreds of thousands of people who have since continued to walk on the path of bhakti, inspired by his teachings and his soul-stirring devotional sankirtans.
The spiritual work undertaken by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj is a reflection of his causeless grace. However, in addition to this, he was always engaged in leading high-impact charitable activities targeted at the most vulnerable sections of society.
His compassion towards those struggling for the basics in life has inspired hundreds of thousands of people to join in the efforts, and engage in various humanitarian activities through the organisation established by him, Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat.
Currently, all the activities of the organisation (both spiritual and humanitarian) are led by the three Presidents – Dr. Vishakha Tripathi, Dr. Shyama Tripathi and Dr. Krishna Tripathi.
All three Presidents work tirelessly to advance all the projects initiated by their father (Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj) and are guiding millions of souls around the world to progress on the path of God realisation.
